PriceLabs vs. Wheelhouse: The Real Numbers, Compared

September 2, 2026

Written by: Rob Abasolo

Both tools promise the same thing: Better pricing decisions without you staring at a calendar every day.

Who Wins

Wheelhouse wins. Why? Because you get a real free tier to test the tool before paying anything, and Dynamic Sets gives you sharper competitor tracking than PriceLabs offers.

PriceLabs only takes the win in one specific case: you're running enough properties that comparing performance data across all of them in one dashboard genuinely matters. Portfolio Analytics is built into the core product for exactly that, tracking occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR across every listing you connect, and nothing in Wheelhouse replicates that directly.

Outside of that one case, Wheelhouse is the better call. Here's the full breakdown of how each one stacks up.

PriceLabs Wheelhouse
Starting price $19.99/listing/month $19.99/listing/month, or $2.99/listing/month plus 1% per automated booking
Free tier None, free trial only Yes, limited to 3 months of forward pricing
Integrations Airbnb, Booking.com, VRBO, and 160+ PMSs

At the entry level, these 2 tools cost the same thing: $19.99 a listing a month. Past that number, the pricing structures diverge.

PriceLabs has one flat-fee tier for its core Dynamic Pricing and Portfolio Analytics product, plus a 1% of booking revenue option as an alternative. If you want more than pricing itself, Market Dashboard and Revenue Estimator Pro are separate paid products, $9.99 and $10 a month respectively, not included in the base subscription.

Wheelhouse splits its paid tier differently: Pro Flex charges $2.99 a listing a month plus 1% of every automated booking, while Pro Flat is a flat $19.99, matching PriceLabs exactly. Both Wheelhouse plans, according to their own help center, include the same full feature set, no separate add-on products to buy.

The Free Tier Difference

This is a real, verifiable gap. PriceLabs offers a free trial, but no permanent free option, once the trial ends, you're paying. Wheelhouse has a free tier that exists indefinitely: You can connect your listings and get pricing insight at no cost, though it's capped at 3 months of forward-looking pricing and doesn't include automated daily price posting.

This has nothing to do with how many properties you own. A host with 10 listings might still want to test a tool before switching. A first-time host with total conviction might skip testing entirely. It comes down to whether you want to see a tool work before paying for it. If you're still working out whether you're ready to buy at all, our complete framework on buying your first rental property in 2026 is worth reading before either tool matters.

Integrations

PriceLabs syncs directly with Airbnb, Booking.com, VRBO, and more than 160 PMSs, according to its own site. Wheelhouse lists 40+ software integrations, spanning PMS platforms, channel managers, and booking channels, according to its own site.

PriceLabs has the larger number here. Both platforms integrate broadly enough for hosts.

What Makes Them Different

PriceLabs built its reputation on Hyper Local Pulse, a pricing algorithm that leans on hyper-local market data, plus a full portfolio analytics suite tracking occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR across your properties. It's the more established of the 2, founded in 2014, and its own numbers claim over 500,000 units priced across more than 150 countries.

Wheelhouse's standout is Dynamic Sets, a comp-set builder that lets you track competitive sets, multi-market comparisons, owner acquisition targets, and merchandising groups, all as distinct, purpose-built views. Wheelhouse also specifically claims to be the only platform letting you mix rule-based and data-driven pricing strategies inside one system.

Property count doesn't decide either of these. Portfolio Analytics tracks patterns across properties, so it earns its keep the moment you have more than 1 listing to compare. Dynamic Sets is about competitor visibility in your specific market, which matters just as much to a single host in a crowded market as it does to someone running a large portfolio.
