Airbnb just launched its biggest new host incentive ever.
Demand for World Cup accommodations is skyrocketing. Searches in World Cup host cities are up 80%.
Airbnb's solution? A $750 bonus to new hosts who list an entire home in any of the 16 tournament cities across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Here's everything you need to know.
How Airbnb's $750 New Host Bonus Works
The program is simple: list a qualifying property, complete a reservation, and get paid.
According to Airbnb's official terms, eligible hosts who publish a listing for an entire home in a World Cup host city and complete a booking of at least $100 before July 31, 2026, will receive a $750 bonus (or local equivalent).
The payout arrives within 45 days of the completed stay.
Who Is Eligible for Airbnb's $750 World Cup Bonus?
To qualify, you must:
- Be a new host on Airbnb (or have no active home listings as of February 1, 2026)
- Publish a listing for an entire home (private rooms don't count)
- Be located in an eligible event zone—meaning one of the 16 World Cup host cities
- Complete a reservation with a total price of at least $100 USD (before taxes) on or before July 31, 2026
Important:
- Bookings canceled by either the guest or host don't count
- Each eligible host can receive one reward only
- Airbnb reserves the right to verify eligibility and withhold payment if fraud or abuse is suspected

How Can Airbnb Hosts Earn During the World Cup
The $750 bonus is just the beginning.
A Deloitte report estimates that hosts could earn an average of $3,000 USD by renting their space during the World Cup. In high-demand markets, that number can climb past $5,000.
Here are the cities with the highest estimated average earnings:
- New York/New Jersey - $5,700
- Boston - $5,200
- Los Angeles - $5,100
- Miami - $5,000
- Dallas - $4,400
- Seattle - $3,800
- Atlanta - $3,700
Between the bonus and booking revenue, new hosts have a real opportunity to turn the tournament into a significant payday. And these figures are just averages—with the right amenities and premium features, hosts could earn even more.
How to Create a Listing That Actually Gets Booked
To compete with established hosts and hundreds of new listings, you need to stand out. Here are a few tips from our guide to creating listings that get booked:
1. Get incredible photos
Professional photos make or break your listing. Use natural light, shoot at eye level, and show every room. Listings with professional photos book faster and at higher rates. Showcase experience-driven amenities and vibrant colors to catch the eye. Forget the 5-photo minimum—upload as many as you can. It's tempting to launch with cellphone photos, but don't. Your photos will make or break your listing.
2. Write a World Cup-optimized title
Include keywords like "near [stadium]," "close to Fan Zone," or "game room." Update your title for the World Cup. Strong headings include at least 3 key amenities or features.
3. Write a detailed description
Go long and get specific. Cover sleeping arrangements, transportation options, and nearby attractions. Explain every amenity. Most World Cup travelers are families or large groups—highlight group-friendly and family-friendly features. Your listing should answer every question before a guest asks.
4. Price it right
As a new listing, competitive pricing is smart. But check competitors or use dynamic pricing tools like PriceLabs to get the right rate based on demand. Don't severely underprice your Airbnb just because you're new.
5. Turn on Instant Book
You can keep it off for your first few bookings if you're nervous. But for a high-demand event like the World Cup with lots of international travelers, guests appreciate easy, friction-free booking.
6. Respond fast
Airbnb rewards fast replies. Aim to respond within an hour. Guests won't wait around if it takes you half a day to get back to them.
