How the Payment Flows
A guest selects dates on your site. Your PMS calculates the total. Stripe, or whichever payment processor you use, charges the card and reports back success or failure. Only then does your PMS confirm the reservation and block the dates everywhere, Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, all of it.
One thing worth understanding clearly: What happens between Stripe and your PMS is a payment integration. Stripe never touches your calendar, it only needs the customer, the amount, and the payment instructions. Your PMS is the one telling Stripe what to charge.
